A new session of the BioMatch Series, a program initiated in SIP for the purpose of promoting transfer and transformation of biomedical technologies from universities, was held in Wuhan University in Central China’s Hubei province recently.
Jointly organized by the Regional University-Industry Technology Transfer Center for Biopharmaceuticals (Suzhou, Jiangsu), the Suzhou Institute of Wuhan University and the Administrative Committee of Suzhou Dushu Lake Sci-Edu Innovation District, the event set a bridge for accelerating application of cutting-edge technologies developed by the university in industrial sectors.

The event included a specific introduction to the Regional University-Industry Technology Transfer Center for Biopharmaceuticals (Suzhou, Jiangsu), covering its services for commercialization of research findings from universities and successful cases.

Another highlight was the roadshow where 10 projects including those focusing on organoid chip testing, advanced medical devices and innovative traditional Chinese medicine were presented, demonstrating Wuhan University’s strength in sci-tech innovation. The representatives from several SIP-based companies discussed cooperation possibilities with the project teams, and offered suggestions for optimizing the projects’ development pathways.
