Recently, three events were held in SIP to mark the World Autism Awareness Day, an international observance held every year on Apr 2 to celebrate the rights, dignity and diverse perspectives of autistic people.
The 9th Annual Walk for Autism, organized by SIP Sunflower Children Service Center in collaboration with several partners, was held on Mar 29, bridging the gap between individuals with autism and society, helping them better integrate into schools and communities, and calling on the public to see, care for and protect them.

On Apr 2, a team of representatives from Suzhou Disabled Persons Federation and its philanthropic foundation and Suzhou Charity Federation visited Jinji Lake Sub-district Autism Community Day Care Center, giving daily necessities to autistic children there and encouraging them to be brave in expressing themselves and striving for a happy life.
Another walking event was held on the evening of Apr 2 when over 600 people from enterprises, public institutions, schools, public service organizations and families with autistic members ran to draw public attention to children with autism as well as ecological environment.
